CBD can help you sleep better at night. How it works for sleep is by regulating anxiety within your body. We are naturally guided by the circadian cycle. Sometimes due to stress and anxiety and the overwhelming demands of life, our sleep cycle may be thrown off. 

When used in lower doses during the day, CBD relieves anxiety and creates alertness throughout the day. When used in higher doses at night, it relieves chronic pain which allows the body to relax. By reducing the mental and physical symptoms of anxiety, this allows for a deeper and more restful sleep. 

A restful CBD cocktail 

1 cup tart cherry juice(natural source for melatonin)

1 cup white grape juice

½ dropper valerian root

Your preferred dose of CBD

Mix together and drink one to two hours before bed. 

CBD interacts with receptors within the body that control the circadian cycle. Theses receptors are the melatonin receptors 1 and 2. These are G protein-coupled receptors that bind melatonin. Melatonin secretion by the pineal gland in the brain is regulated by the suprachiasmatic nucleus. Melatonin receptors can be found throughout the body including the liver, gallbladder, skin,colon, kidneys as well as the brain. Melatonin plays a role in the sleep cycle. It also acts as a neuroprotective which helps to reduce pain. CBD interacts with these receptors.
